Over the past ten years, Blake has been involved in a number of theatre and (to a lesser extent) music projects. Most of these have meant him working with two fellow-Yorkshiremen : the actor and director Barrie Rutter, who runs the Northern Broadsides theatre company; and the composer and musician Gavin Bryars.
